What is hydro jetting?

Think about what cleans the inside of your drain pipes. Nothing does. You wipe down the sink and the tub, but whatever goes down the drain, grease, soap, hair and food, can stick to the inside of the pipe and stay there for years. Hydro jetting is a powerful stream of water, sent down the drain through a hose, that scrubs the inside of the pipe wall and washes the buildup out. It's different from snaking. A snake is a long flexible cable that spins through the clog and opens a hole for the water to get by. The drain works again for now, but whatever is stuck to the walls of the pipe stays on the walls, and that is what can bring the clog back. The hydro jetter has different attachments for the smaller lines inside the house and the big line outside, and the contractor brings the right one.

Kitchen line

The sink drains slowly, it gurgles after the disposal runs, or it was cleared a while back and it's slow again. Grease could be the coating.
