On a bigger property, whether in Green Valley, Garden Road, Old Poway or elsewhere, there can be a lot of ground for a hidden leak to cover. The supply line from the meter can run a long way to the house, irrigation lines cover the yard, and inside the house the lines run under a slab or through the walls. The bill tells you something is leaking. It doesn't tell you where.
Detection narrows it down. On each job the licensed contractor picks the method, using tools like listening equipment and pressure testing, to show whether it's the house, the yard or the line in between.
Once it's found, the contractor can explain the repair options in plain English, and you decide. If nothing turns up, that's worth knowing too, because the bill may have a simpler cause.
